Show Wins from Michelle

Michelle Platt sent me the following email - which I just had to share!

"Hello Jeanne,

Just back from Las Vegas Live. I wanted to let you know that the Shaver painted Festus won Reserve Grand Champion on the long ears class, Wyakin won first in the Appaloosa class, the Jaime Baker Aidan, and the Jeannine DuCuir Aidan took a first and a second, and Unbridled Joy came in fourth place. Competition was very steep with some beautiful models painted by top artists:0) Not too shabby!

I may go to one more show before Nan with the new Cindy WIlliams Festus as well as some others that will be coming in soon, and the beautiful Emboldened by Dani that inadvertently got left at home:0(

Blast from the Past

Thought you might get a kick out of seeing my early collection! Yes, I collected model horses since childhood. Here are photos of me at various ages with my vintage Breyer models. My Breyer models were on display at the public library too - I'm standing in front of the display case. I'm in the 7th grade here. And no, I'm not giving away the year - try to guess it from the models (and yeah, the clothes & hair!)

Festus Live Show Winner

That lovely mule is FESTUS by Michelle Platt! He took home the gaited breed championship for Michelle at her first live show. He was painted for her by Sherrlynne Shaver. Congrats Michelle!
